Silver Gilt Box The Parthenon 1922
A Sterling Silver Gilt table box, probably originally made for cigarettes but suitable for jewellery or similar, made in Birmingham 1922 by Elkington&Co. Depicting The Parthenon, Athens. Mounted on a wooden base which has two applied silver panels which would be suitable for an inscription. The box itself is wooden lined. Standing at the front is a model of Athena. Dimensions: 105 x 65mm, box. 170 x 126mm, plinth.
