A Continental ( German ) solid sterling silver and enamel letter opener made circa 1900. The Egyptian revival handle is in the form of a Pharaoh, in silver gilt and blue, red, green, and white enamel. The blade is made from natural material. Marked "Sterling Germany " on the back.
