Georgian Silver Snuffers Tray 1790
A George III silver candle snuffers tray made in London 1790 by Godbehere&Wigan.Oval form with raised ends.Bright cut and pierced decoration with a central cartouche containing a contemporary monogram.Hallmarked on the reverse, as shown.These trays were originally made as bases for candle snuffers or wick trimmers but today are popularly used as pen trays.
